Marco Cavadini is an innovation oriented entrepreneur, with 17 years experience in the strategic and operational management of Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs) and innovative high-growth start ups. In 2010 he founded Business Up with the aim of supporting other entrepreneurs in their companies’ growth or their business projects. With Business Up, he led the development of more than 30 companies at Board of Directors and management support level. Since 2014 he is CEO of Swisscolocation SA, a company active in the data center international market, co-promoted by Business Up. Since 2011 he is Coach of the Swiss Agency for Technology and Innovation (CTI Start up) with whom he has been involved in the development of 20 innovative start ups in Ticino and Zurich. Between 2000 and 2009 he was co-founder and manager of NemeriX SA, a Ticinese company with a high innovative value in the field of microelectronics, named in 2006 among the 100 best innovative companies (start ups) in Europe. With NemeriX SA he was among the finalists in the contest "Entrepreneur of the Year of Italian Switzerland" in 2006. Marco Cavadini, ETHZ electrical engineer, holds a doctorate in Technology Sciences from the Zurich Polytechnic (ETHZ) and a diploma in Project Management from UC Berkeley Extensions in California.
Stefano Cavadini is an expert in finance and controlling. He has been working with Swiss and Italian companies for 20 years, dividing his business as a trustee and a member of the Management Committee or Board of Directors. After a 10-year experience in a renowned fiduciary company in Ticino, in 2001 he became the CFO for Ticino and Italy of the Swiss group Alpiq InTec, internationally active in the industry of plant engineering and technology for buildings. Since 2007 he has been involved in the group’s expansion in Italy and in 2011 he took over the operational management of the Southern Region of the Alpiq InTec group. In 2010 he founded CSCA Consulenze Aziendali SA active in management, administrative and tax consulting of SMEs and, since 2014, he is the Chairman of the Board of the Raiffeisen Bank Tre Valli. Stefano Cavadini is listed in the Register of Trustee of the Canton Ticino (commercial trustee) and has the qualification to practice as auditor.
Since the years of university, Guglielmo shows a strong aptitude for the world of entrepreneurship. In 2011 he founded Isisport, a company that promotes an online booking system for sports centers. He continued over time to develop the service, first joining "Tennis Italiano", establishing the joint venture Tennis Italiano Club, and then Duepalleggi.it. To date, this project is the main Italian reality in online sports reservations. Despite the positive results achieved in the online reservations industry, Guglielmo's main business is Business Up. Since 2011 he has been actively involved in the development of more than 20 Ticinese companies. The results were extremely positive: all the companies followed, have today a better future and have generated an increase in profit making their shareholders happy. Guglielmo's experience gained in the field combines with solid skills in finance obtained through a Master in Finance (Msc Finance) at the Università della Svizzera Italiana and the Copenhagen Business School. Previously he achieved a Bachelor's degree in economics at USI.
After graduating in Management Engineering with a thesis on sustainable marketing, Gianmarco continues its relationship with the Politecnico di Milano dealing with research in the field of multichannel marketing and multimedia convergence, in parallel with a teaching support for the master's degree class in Strategy & Marketing. Despite the excellent academic results, Gianmarco matures a preference for the pragmatic dimension of the business, which fulfill with the collaboration in Nutcracker, a company founded in 2013 by the Vice-Dean of Politecnico di Milano. Since then he has worked on various projects of digital transformation, customer-strategy, multichannel marketing plans, feasibility studies and business plans. Gianmarco has also been hired as a business developer for the interdisciplinary biomarketing laboratory of Politecnico di Milano. From the second half of 2017 he joined the Business Up team, motivated by the strong spirit of entrepreneurship and dynamism of the company.
After achieving the diploma of "Business Expert and Correspondent in Foreign Languages", Federica started her professional activity for a leader company in the mechatronic solution sector, developing technical and IT knowledge. Later he worked for a recruitment company in Ticino, acquiring skills in evaluating human resources and business management. She joins Business Up in January 2015 as Executive Assistant. The whole administration of the company’s activities increased her desire to improve, proved by the fact that Federica has obtained the Accountant Certification for Canton Ticino
ALBERTO DE LORENZI
Alberto De Laurenzi is an entrepreneur who has founded and managed various companies mainly in the technological and digital sector. His large experience includes also investor’s activities, consultants and coach for entrepreneurs and startup. He has been a Business Up partner since 2012, bringing his experience to customers who want to grow and improve.. Alberto De Laurenzi is currently the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Business Up SA, Tinext SA, Tinext Holding SA, Swisscolocation SA. Moreover, he is director of De Lorenzi & Partner SA and member of the Board of Directors of Squarelife AG and of DAC System SA. Tinext SA, which he co-founded in 2001, is active in digital marketing solutions, content management and managed cloud services, with offices in Switzerland, Italy and the United Arab Emirates. De Lorenzi & Partner, founded in 2002, is specialized in consulting, merger&acquisitions and financing of startups and SMEs. Since 2004, Alberto De Lorenzi is also business coach of the Agency for Technological Innovation of the Swiss Confederation (CTI Start-up) and he is member of the experts’ commitee of the Start-up Promotion Center of the University of Italian Switzerland. He has followed over 50 business projects based on technological innovation. Previously, Alberto De Lorenzi obtained his degree as computer engineer at the Professional University of Bern. In 1995 he co-founded Tinet SA, one of the first Internet Service Providers in Switzerland, where he was the CEO until the sale of the company to the UPC-Cablecom group in 2000.
